Ahja Henry

Ahja Henry is a San Francisco native interdisciplinary artist and dancer. She has been dancing for 14 years, with a background in ballet, contemporary, jazz, African, and Hip-Hop. Within the past 5 years, she has developed a passion for African Diasporic dance and the barriers it breaks within Western dance forms. There is incredible power in being able to use your body to tell a story, a talent in which she constantly celebrates, especially when surrounded by other dancers of color. She currently trains and performs in a variety of dance styles as she works toward a career as a full time dancer and artist. She is immensely grateful to be a part of the SFBATCO family and excited to perform in a show that celebrates the history of Black artists.
